Extended Comedy Characters for Commercial Voiceovers

I completed a workshop this weekend entitled Extended Comedy Characters for Commercials. It was taught by the one and only Roger Scott (who is wonderful) and took place at the North Hollywood Recordings. The workshop was put on by the Voiceover Connection. Check out their website for great classes.

Alicyn Cast in SAG Feature

I just got word that I booked a supporting role in the SAG indie feature "Alondra Smiles" produced by Villa Media Productions. I've been cast as Maggie a warm, likeable, resilient and worldly woman with many talents. I'll follow up with a press release when it's available. Production is slated to begin in January 2006.

Featured Dancer for Balance at King King Flier

How funny? My friend Alexis pointed out that I'm in this flier in the lower left-hand corner. Getting down at Balance @ KIng King. A really fun night if you're looking to boogie on a Saturday.

In early October, production for the feature film currently the "Untitled Scary Project" began. Shot on SonyHDR-FX1 High-Defintion, film-look, video camera, this improvised horror defied traditional conventions of filmmaking. Completely unscripted, the actor's created their characters through a 6 week rehearsal project. Scenarios were set up by the director Steven Payne (www.paynie.com) and producer Eric Johnson (Tweek City, www.tweekcity.com) to catch actors off-guard and cause them to react completely to the situation at hand. We shot at the Lincoln Heights Jail in downtown Los Angeles, the location of such films as "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Colors." It was an amazing experience. Here are some production stills of the shoot. Click on the link below to view these photos. For more information on this project, check out www.paynie.com
