Mick Wingert - Kung Fu Panda, Arcane | S2 AW 59

In this week’s episode, I am joined by The Voice of Awesomeness himself – voice actor and coach Mick Wingert! Mick has quite an impressive list of roles to his name. He is best known as the voice of Po in the video games and TV shorts of the well-loved Kung Fu Panda franchise including Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. In addition to this, Mick has also worked as the voice for Iron Man in several Marvel TV series and video games including the 2021 series ‘What If…?’, and the voice behind Heimerdinger and Duty Captain in the groundbreaking Netflix animation series Arcane.

Join us as Mick and I journey through the looking glass and down the rabbit into the wild and wonderful world of animation and video games! We start off by taking a trip down memory lane, way back to when he moved to Los Angeles without actually intending to start a career in voice acting. Then, we move on to talk about how he became Jack Black’s “voice double” as Po in various Kung Fu Panda TV series, shorts, and video games. He even shares how it was like meeting Jack in person! Mick also goes on to talk about why working as a part of the Arcane cast is one of BEST experiences of his life.
